VHF QTC : METEOR SHOWER. THE ORIONIDS.
      Comet Halley isn't officially scheduled to visit Earth again until 2061 when it swings through the inner solar
system on its 76-year orbit, but bits and pieces of the comet may be used each year during the annual Orionids meteor
shower. Maximum visual rates may reach 20-25 per hour, but sometimes there are lulls even around the traditional maximum
of October 21. Best times: Saturday, Sunday, and/or Monday morning, October 20-22. Other mornings in the period of October
17 to 25 may also be productive.

CONTEST
      The 50 MHz Open at the 4 th. tuesday evening in the month - October 23 rd. 17-21 UT. This is an contest without any
qualifying contacts ! - and straight forward rules. Classes includes high power, medium power & QRP sections.

BEACON
J5 - GUINE-BISSAU

       Im pleased to informe all Sixers that the new beacon J5SIX /b is allready running. it?s QRG is 50012 MHz  with CW
       keying and antenna is a vertical dipole. it?'s located in center Bissau the capital of Guine-Bissau. the  keeper
       is J5JUA / CT2GQA. this sucesfull project was only possible with the preciuse hellp of N3DB and the 6M beacon
       project group, wich i thank very much. hope this new beacon bring more activity on 6m from africa.
